2. Keep the Kettle Easy to Find
A cup of tea and a biscuit can make your new house feel like home surprisingly quickly.
3. Keep Phone Chargers With You
Don't bury them in a moving box. You'll almost certainly need your phone throughout the day.
4. Label Furniture Screws
If you've dismantled furniture, place all screws and fittings into labelled bags and tape them to the relevant item.
You'll thank yourself later.
5. Photograph Your Meter Readings
A quick photo of your gas, electricity and water meters can help prevent billing disputes later on.
6. Measure Before You Move
Always measure large furniture and any tight doorways or staircases before moving day.
